Courtney Harwood is the director of U.R.unique & began her journey in the hairdressing industry 10 years ago. In 2010 she was awarded “Tasmanian Junior Of The Year” & from this point in her career she was determined to grow & expand herself as much as possible, now holding an abundance of over 30 awards to her name ranging from men’s & ladies cutting & colouring to catwalk styling.
A couple of years later Courtney decided to take a leap of faith & started working for herself as a sole trader, pushing herself forward personally & professionally.
A truly dedicated professional to her chosen craft Courtney founded U.R.unique in 2016, her passion & vision to bring a modern boutique salon to Launceston is now an everyday reality. Specializing in beautiful blondes & special events styling & make up she is in high demand.
Lauren Sotheran
Senior Stylist
Alongside Courtney comes Lauren Sotheran, a senior stylist with 9 years experience & is an amazing hairdresser. Her down to earth & approachable personality ensures your time with her in the salon is an enjoyable one. Lauren also has a wealth of knowledge & is always eager to learn new personal & professional skills, having attended many Hair Expo’s & most recently with Courtney Business Chick’s Conference.
In 2012 Lauren had the privilege of working alongside of L’Oreal Professional & a few other selected hairdressers across the state to partake in a professional editorial photo shoot which was then published in the InStyle Hairdressing magazine. With photo shoots being an interest of hers, she went on to win 3rd place in the IHS photographic competition, as well as 1st place in the Open Bridal. Lauren enjoys all aspects of colour work, & loves creating the perfect bob.

Ange is the salon's beauty therapist ,with 6 years experience in the industry she is your go to for your regular maintenance appointments or a pick me up.
As a beauty therapist and working in a modern day society, she prides herself on being open-minded and accepting of all of her clients. By making it her mission to ensure each of her clients feel special, pampered and beautiful within their own skin.
